Incidents beyond behaviour

by | 19 Nov, 2025

Dr Shelley Stiles gave a presentation Kier Construction Health, Safety and Wellbeing Team Meeting in Solihull on ‘Incidents beyond behaviour’. Shelley explained the difference between human error and human factors, then exploring how human factors approaching can support investigation processes. The session was interactive as teams worked through a case study. The feedback was good, and it was an opportunity to raise the understanding and value of human factors in the construction sector. Thank you to Darran. Sly and Mark Starling for the invite!

Some feedback: “I just wanted to say how much I really enjoyed your presentation on incidents beyond behaviour. It genuinely felt like a masterclass. I am looking forward to see the changes in our root cause determination going forward.”
