The team had a great day on site yesterday facilitating a Project Health and Safety Day for Volker Fitzpatrick LTD Camp Hill Lines Project in Birmingham.
Helping the team to ensure they maintain a collective focus on high standards of safety and health, improving planning, communication and feedback to the project teams.
We facilitated a pre event survey to take a temperature check of the safety and health culture, seeking open and honest feedback on what is going well and where improvements can be made.
The day was split into a workshop for Managers and Supervisors to focus on planning, communication and the management of change. The workforce on undertook site based training on plant/people interface, temporary works and non technical skills focus on situational awareness, decision making and action, co-operation with others and communication. Then everyone undertook site visits at the 3 construction sites to review current site standards to share good practise and make improvements.
There was great collaboration between the Principal Contractor VolkerFitzpatrick LTD Contractors POD Track LTD and the Client representative SLC Rail The day is part of an ongoing engagement plan that will ensure that the focus on safety and health remains a top priority for all
