Course overview
This programme aims to develop the knowledge and skills of Persons in Charge of Work so that they can effectively supervise the safe delivery of site activities and positively influence safety behaviours and performance on site.
The programme covers a breadth of topics over 4 modules:
Module 1
- The role of the person in charge of work, including legal duties
- Leading by example and taking personal responsibility for safety
Module 2
- Hazard identification and risk assessment
- Hazard and risk management
Module 3
- Site set up, including induction
- Delivering briefings and cascading safety information
Module 4
- Reporting accidents, incidents and complaints
- Dealing with unexpected and unplanned events
The programme includes assessments on completion of each module.
