Course overview
This module is a reconstruction of an environmental incident. A common behavioural factor in environmental incidents has been identified as complacency towards tasks and sometimes a lack of concern for the broader or longer-term environmental risks.
There can also be a culture of rushing to get work done – this sometimes comes from work schedule pressure from management and sometimes from operatives trying to finish quickly.
Within this scenario there is an underlying factor of over-familiarity, complacency and lack of focus and care for the environment.
There are two areas of focus within this module; firstly to recognise the environmental aspects and impacts of working on any site and the need to adhere to environmental protection procedures and secondly, individual behaviours that contribute to a culture of caring for the environment.
For classroom training there is a maximum of 8 delegates per session.
