Last week our Director Dr Shelley Stiles presented a paper entitled ‘Making the right choices: Behavioural safety for designers on a construction project’ at the CIEHF Annual Conference. Shelley said “The construction sector is usually under represented so it was great to be able to raise the profile of behaviour and culture and the challenges within construction”.
To end the Conference Shelley joined a panel of across industry expertise to discuss ‘Just and Fair Culture, what is it in practice?
Attending the CIEHF Annual Conference was a real pleasure, from networking with colleagues old and new, recieving a masterclass on hierarchical task analysis, to presentations on situational awareness and numerous examples of human factors in practice across many different industries. Always good to take time to reflect on the challenges faced by those at work and how human factors can really help. Shelley had a personal favourite presentation delivered by Sarah Sharples – human factors, what is it? Very relevant to some recent work she has been involved with.
Massive thank you to all the team at CIEHF, see you next year!
