Classroom courses are led by experienced learning professionals with years of experience in their chosen field and can be held at suitable training locations or at your own business premises

All classroom based learning has been fully risk assessed and that includes COVID-19.
All training will be undertaken in line with current government guidance.
The safety of all of our learners and training professionals is paramount so all of our classroom courses can be delivered online, if necessary, giving you peace of mind that you will still receive excellent training when you need it.
What to expect when you join us for our classroom based training
Step 1
You will receive joining instructions which will include the course information, time of training, details of the training venue, arrangements for refreshments and COVID-19 protocols.
You will also receive any pre-course material and contact details should you need any further information or support before the course.
You may need to provide further personal details should you need to be sent pre-reading materials or registered for an exam.
Step 2
Enjoy your learning in a relaxed environment.
There will be adequate time for breaks and we will let you know if you can purchase food at the venue, local places to purchase food or whether you can store food that you bring in from home.
Throughout the learning you will have plenty of time with the trainers but if you want to discuss anything before, during or after your training, we encourage you to do so. All of our trainers want you to feel comfortable and happy so please don’t hesitate to speak to them.
Step 3
When you successfully complete your training and any necessary assessments, you will receive a certificate.
Following the training, you will be asked to complete a feedback form. please take the time to complete the form – your feedback is important to us and helps us to deliver high quality training.
We will keep in touch and let you know of any other training that may support your professional development.
At GatewayHSW, we are aware of our carbon footprint so will digitalise course material where appropriate. We appreciate that this does not suit everyone, so feel free to print it out if it makes your learning experience better.
All course materials will be provided to you when you start the training.
Frequently asked questions
What time does the training start?
The course times will be included in your joining instructions.
Do I need to prepare anything and is there any pre-reading material?
Any course material that is needed will be sent to you prior to the course.
We are currently trying toreduce our use of paper so where possible material will be sent electronically. It is your choice if you wish to print it out for the course. Some courses have a coursebook included and these will be posted to the address you provide when registering for the course.
How do I pay for the course?
Once you have completed the booking form for the course you will receive an invoice for prompt payment.
This will need to be paid prior to starting the training.
I attended the first day, but am unable to attend the second day, can I reschedule?
If you cannot complete the course, where possible we will ty to enable you t attend the second day on a different date.
If this is not possible, you may need to resit the course to complete full attendance and gain certification. It is our policy to be as accomodating as possible.
Will I get notes to take away from the course?
Course handouts will be provided either hard copy or electronic.
Can I tailor the content of a course to fit my needs?
We specialise in providing bespoke courses.

What happens if I need to leave the course early?
We understand that things may happen that mean you have to leave.
We ask that you make your trainer aware at the earliest opportunity and we will contact you at a later date to discuss the completion of the course.
Can I use my phone and take calls?
We appreciate that you may have to take urgent calls during the course.
We ask that your phones remain on ‘silent’ and if you have to take a call, you leave the classroom as quickly and quietly as possible.
If you cannot return to the training, please let the trainer know.
Will there be a dress code?
You will be notified in the joining instructions if there are specific clothing requirements.
Otherwise, smart casual dress is fine.
Are refreshments and/or lunch provided?
Arrangements for refreshments will be provided in the joining instructions.
Will there access to a prayer room?
If you require a prayer room, please let us know.
Will there be facility to be able to park my vehicle or bicycle?
Details of parking facilities will be provided in the course joining instructions.
Will there be free WiFi access?
Details of WiFi access will be provided in the course joining instructions.
English is not my first language, is the course material available in other languages?
We have translated several of our courses into a variety of different languages.
If you let us know what language is required, we can confirm what is available.
I cannot read or write can I still attend the course?
Our courses are interactive and may be completed without any issues.
Please let us know prior to attending the training session and we can make reasonable adjustments to support those who cannot read or write.
